LOCATION: Play is based in NYC but all positions are flexible / remote. EST time zone preferred, but not mandatory.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING


— Become an expert and advocate of Play and continuously expand your knowledge of the Play product as new features are released

— Own and lead the entire product schedule for Play, working alongside our design and engineering teams to prioritize features and set milestones

— Run sprint planning sessions, write epics and stories for new feature development, and work to keep our teams in sync, especially as we expand the number of platforms we're working on

— Work with our QA team to prioritize bug fixes and our backlog with feature development

— Work with other members of our team to plan and assist with new product releases

— Collaborate with our team on marketing, messaging, positioning, and go-to-market plans



SKILLS YOU HAVE

— Experience in managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle (ideally, both a mobile app and web product)

— Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies

— Experience, knowledge and interest in the design tool space

— Excellent verbal and written communication skills

— Strong background in sprint-based workflows (sprint planning, backlog grooming, writing epics and stories)

— Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams

— Highly organzied, detail oriented and structured, but flexible enough to work in a fast-paced, exciting startup where things change!

— An understanding of what it means to be a good teammate—and the ability to put that understanding into practice

Play transforms the traditional design and development process by empowering teams to collaboratively design, build, test and share mobile products—directly from their mobile device.

Play was founded by four partners: JoonYong Park, Michael Ferdman, Eric Eng and Dan LaCivita, who all come from different backgrounds and disciplines. We all worked together for over 15 years at design and technology agency, Firstborn, which was founded by Michael in 1997. After creating hundreds of digital experiences for clients, we shifted our focus to rethinking how teams could design and build digital products, in search of a better way.

We're on a mission to not build just another design tool, but create a new paradigm that empowers product teams to create more thoughtful and impactful digital products.
